STUDENT MINISTRY

Bro. Anthony Radcliffe was born in North Carolina and raised in a small country town in west Tennessee. Raised by a retired Marine, who now serves in ministry and as a middle school teacher, Anthony was instilled with a love for Jesus, hanging out with teenagers, and music from his childhood. It is not unusual to catch him singing all types of worship music from Skillet to Brandon Lake to Gold City and more!  Anthony was saved at the age of 14 at his church home in Callaway, FL and was initially called to ministry a year later. However, he surrendered to full-time ministry at the age of 18 and has served in student and music ministries, in various roles, ever since. He has a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee at Martin, TN, and is working on completing his Master of Divinity in Pastoral Studies through Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN.

Before coming to Friendship, Anthony served in Goose Creek, SC, and in Halls, TN prior to that. He has served students and adults of all ages through teaching 1st grade for several years, serving in youth ministry, serving as interim pastor, teaching senior adult Bible studies and Men's Groups. Soon after graduation, Anthony married his high school sweetheart, Shirah, and have been married for over 14 years. They have three children: Katelynn, Kyleigh, and AJ (Anthony Junior "Bubba"). In his free time, Anthony enjoys hanging out by the pool, going to the beach, and being outside in general. He also has a love for coffee, no matter how hot or cold the weather is. The perfect scene for Anthony involves a good cup of coffee, a front porch rocking chair, and the sounds of a thunderstorm in the distance.

"Our family has a love for students, education, and the people of God in general. We are excited about the adventure that God has for us here at Friendship!"

Friendship students

The heart of Friendship Student Ministry is centered around loving God and loving others. Students are called to have an active role in fulfilling the Great Commission in the local church, in their communities and in their schools. Numerous ministry settings are provided for middle school, high school and college students each week. Activities are designed to teach, equip, and mentor students as well as provide opportunities to put biblical principles of discipleship into action. Students meet each Sunday for Sunday School/Small Groups at 9:45 AM and for Student Worship from 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM on designated Sundays. (Please see friendshipbaptist.com for church-wide Sunday evening service dates.) Student Worship is a great opportunity to build relationships, play games and worship with other students. Students also meet on Wednesdays from 6:15 PM - 7:15 PM for Bible Study. Opportunities to attend camps, retreats and mission activities are also provided throughout the year.
